Units

The first step that should be done in a design is to select the units type. There are two units types this program can work with:

      -  The International System (SI) units (e.g., m, mm, kPa, m/s, L/s, L/hr, etc.)

 - The English System (ES) units (e.g., ft, in., psi, ft/sec, gpm, gph, etc.)

The user must select the type of units he wishes to work with before proceeding to any other step. The units type can be selected by clicking on any of the two units types under the Units menu.  After the units type has been selected, a confirmation message of the units type selection (Fig. 3) appears.  The user should click on the OK button if the units type is correct.  Otherwise, he should click on the Cancel button and return to the units menu, and re-select the units.

If the user presses the Cancel button after selecting the units type, or if he goes directly to the Data menu to enter the data without selecting the units type, he will get an error message stating that no units type has been selected.  As a result, the user will not be able to enter any data before selecting the units type.
